I have a 6" Rossi .357 revolver, and bought some rosewood grips off of Gunbroker for it (supposedly made for my exact model). I went to put them on, and fitment leaves alot to be desired. They sort of jiggle around, like they're too big.

I'm thinking that maybe something could be put inside the grips to fill the poorly fit areas. Maybe tape? Obviously it needs to be something that doesnt interfere with the mainspring... otherwise I would have just shot some silicone seal or expanding foam in there, haha.

Any suggestions?

Glass bedding them to the frame with Brownell's Acraglas would be the proper way to do it.

Hmm, after looking at that Acraglas stuff on Brownells website, it looks like it may be a bit beyond my capabilities. I have a bad feeling that I'd mess it up somehow.

Any other ideas?

I agree with rcmodel that Acraglas is the best way to go, but if you don't feel comfortable with it you could try some plastic wood or one of the clay type epoxies. With them you might be able to press fit the frame and then remove it. Best results would be had by using some type of release agent on the frame and letting the product setup with the frame in place.

there are way too many grip manufacturers out there for me to screw around trying to get a pair to fit. maybe they're damaged, maybe they are designed for a different model, maybe whatever. everybody should have a drawer full of grips, holsters, and belts that they've tried and didn't like. i keep thinking that one of these days I ought to host a grip/holster/belt swap party as everybody would probably walk away wiht a trade that worked for them.

:D

Any suggestions?

Get different grips, gun or both. If they are that far off as to need bedding then someone sold you something that was not what it was supposed to be. Try again.
