I read a copy of the latest issue of the popular Harris gun magazine; Guns and Weapons For Law Enforcement. In the recent magazine, a writer who states that he is a sworn LEO/drug agent is complaining about working in law enforcement and shows an example of missing the Easter holiday with his family.
I recall reading this EXACT magazine article a few years ago. It was in SWAT magazine or some other gun related publication. Did any members here see this item too?
I know some major gun magazines cover the same topics or the same details/information more than once or twice every few years. But to print a "new" magazine item when you know it's been in a past issue is wrong and to me a question of poor ethics. Harris Publications is the company that makes Combat Handguns and Guns and Weapons For Law Enforcement. I would be interested in the response they would have to this post.

Plenty of people miss weekends and holidays due to their jobs.

tradesmen
bus and cab drivers
security guards
medical personnel
retail workers
utility workers
etc.

If you do not want to work holidays then do not take a job where that is required. I spent a number of years as a guard while going to school. Worked nights, weekends, and just about every holiday. Just the way it is.

I am an engineer. One time I got sent to Mexico. I was there during Halloween, Thanksgiving, my then wife's birthday, two of my brother's birthdays, and my wedding anniversary. All on one trip of 42 days. And my neighbor died while I was there. I have worked nights, weekends, and holidays since, as plants often want to get things done while there is no production to disturb.

ilBob-off topic

Thanks for the post, but it's off topic....
The post is about why this magazine seems to repeat it's articles.

might be a similar article to one published in a different magazine.

publishers are pretty desperate to find good cheap copy these days.
