We've been developing, and now have ready to offer, a new IWB holster. It's similar to our Cochise Defender, and I took influence from some other popular holster makers.

Some of the features are:

- Thin;
- Adjustable kydex clips for cant and depth of the holster/gun;
- Tuckable;
- Suede-lined backing for added comfort;
- Extension of backside of holster to cover slide and hammer area (also gives as a push-off point when drawing the gun);
- Tried to keep it simple.

Here are some pics for your review:

The holster is named the "Dakota Defender," and is available for order. It's not yet been placed on our website, but you can contact me via pm or email or by phone if interested. The price is $65 + $5/shipping.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the kind words, folks.

The holster is available for the XD9 subcompact. In fact, it would be available for most of the guns we have listed on our gun list.

Thanks for your interest. :cool:

The holster looks great. In fact it looks really great. I would certainly buy one, although I'm normally an OWB guy. I have yet to get myself a K&D, although I've always wanted one. Being poor unfortunately puts a damper on having such nice things :p

Handgun Midas: We can make it for the Ruger P345.

hexidismal: Check with me every once in a while and see if we may have something that we can sell at a reduced price. On occasion we'll have a holster that doesn't take the dye well or some other malady, and we'll sell those at a lesser price.

Looks nice. Being a physician, i need a holster that is completely concealed even with a tucked shirt. Can this be made for an HK P7M8?

krang:

Nice to hear from you. I'll have to get back to you on the CZ.

alpha6164:

I can make it for the HK P7M8.

Thanks everyone for your interest. :cool:

Kevin done me right on my Steyr pistol.
Nice work and more than fair price.

If the belt wasn't so damn nice I might actually wear it. Instead I'll abuse my less than gorgeous Galco COP belt.

I can live with a scuffed holster, but I hate a scuffed up belt

Rotoflyr:

We've not had any concerns expressed by the users that it does not allow for one-handed reholstering. We are, however, exploring ways to add a reinforcement band for those folks who would like to have that on their holster.

I'll get one when you add a reinforced mouth to it.

Not that it's not better than what I use now, but I won't buy another IWB piece without that.

Oh and it should be able to hold a GLOCK 17/19 too!

648E,
If you like his work on this holster, check out his Cochise Defender, very similar and has what your looking for (not sure how much thicker it is overall though)

Is there any way to get away from those big ugly kydex clips? I'd like to do a tuckable holster, but those clips just give the whole thing away :confused:

You have the option of C-Clips as well.
I'd also be willing to bet that for those not working undercover in law enforcement, the majority of people you will encounter on a daily basis are unlikely to even notice the clips.

yeah, the c-clips might be an option. I just hate kydex and the big honkin kydex clips bug me, I'm not really worried about being made. Too bad there's not a leather loop option of some sort. :(

carnaby:

Leather loops are an option in place of the kydex clips. However, the loops are attached at the top edge of the holster, thus taking away the "tuckable" feature shown in the above pics.

Did you want pics showing the Cochise from the same angle as the Dakota above? I'll try and remember to take some the next time I make one up. I think I have one or two on the bench in the process of being made.

Yes similar angles would be great to compare the thickness of the two holsters. Also, does the Cochise have the option of a suede backing as the Dakota? I'm getting ready to decide which of the two holsters I'd like to buy. After that I need to decide for which gun.

How much to extra would it be to have both types of clips?

Yes, I know leather loops are available but which prohibit tuckability. I'm hoping for a system that gives both. I think High Noon Holsters almost have it.
