NJCSD’S FUNDRAISING END OF SUMMER SHOOTOUT

Come one come all!

NJ Shoot, September 6th ........
Anybody else out there from NJ or the surrounding states want to play?

Meet interesting / like-minded individuals, shoot the breeze, shoot some targets, win some stuff and support the NJCSD.
(New Jersey Coalition for Self Defense)

NJCSD is hosting a shoot on Saturday September 6th. It will be held at the Buckeye Gun Club. MapQuest it for directions from your location:

501 Route 72
Barnegat, NJ
08005-1012, US

(Make a right at mile marker 14/5 if coming down Rt.72E)
OR
(Make a left at mile marker 14/5 if coming down Rt.72W)

Some of the events will be:

ROPE SHOOT (Shoot the rope in half, make the log drop.)

PIN SHOOT (Can you clear your pins before your opponents do?)

CLAY PIGEON SHOOT (Shoot the clays from the furthest distance.)

BALLOON SHOOT (Can you clear the balloons the fastest?)

..and other competitions.

Raffles will be held. Prizes awarded to the winners.
$20.00 all you can eat.(this is a fund raising event)
$5.00 each event.
Sign in starts at 9:00am. Shooting starts at 10:00am.

Ask anyone who went to our past shoots about the fun and friendships made at this event. Bring at least 4 boxes of what ever handgun ammo you are shooting.

Caution:

Transport firearms unloaded. Case them and ammo separately. Lock both if you can. Transport them in the trunk. No hollow points. No magazines that can hold over 15 rounds. Come directly to the range from your location. When leaving, go directly home. (Yea, Jersey law sucks. NJCSD will be working on it)

BRING YOUR SHOTGUNS!

The Turkey Shoot range will be open for those of you who shotgun. Try your luck, win some bucks, and see who can shoot the most pellets into the circle.

Go to www.njcsd.org for any updates.

Any takers................

Geoff has stated to me in emails that they are attending. Anybody else out there want to get together?

I privately emailed about 40 people and only recieved a response from 10 of you. Let me know fellas.

We do have a great time and you would be supporting a great grass-roots organization. If you live in NJ you have no excuse not to attend.......

Come on people ... if you're in the area join us, you'll have a great time.
BTW Ray ... we need name tags with screen names and real names. Old folks (like me) cant remember our wifes name most of the time let alone people we're meeting for the first time.

Right...................

Good idea. I will get some blank cards that we can fill out when people arrive with our board names and then our real names on them.

Anybody that has not been to one of our shoots needs to inquire about them, from the people posting, as to how they enjoyed it. We have a great time together.

EVERYBODY IS INVITED! Not just Jersey people.

I :what: double dog dare you :what: to come out and support us.................

Pre-pay option.............

After action report.....................

Here are the details;

Of course it was the usual 30 people saying they were coming and only about 15 showed. SodaPop, you know how that goes since you set up shoots on the PA side.

We have a "first ever" happen at this shoot. A shooter by the name of Ian shot the rope in half at 20 yards on the 4th shot! For those of you that still have not made it out to one of our shoots, you will not understand BUT to those of you who have been to our shoots, your probably saying NO WAY! He was using a .45 auto. Outlander, you almost made it.

We had great shooting during the pin shoot. Many that shot lost to others by mere seconds when trying to clear the pins.

At this event we shot clay pigeons for the first time. This will definitely be used at the next shoot. Five clays per shooter had to be shot and they had to fall to the ground in order to count. They were at different heights and the shooting was from 20 yards. All of the clay had to fall so if a little piece was hanging on, it did not count. We had a white paper background on the target board and when you hit the clays they left a burned look on the paper. Very cool.

The balloon shoot was also held for the first time and was a favorite to some. 5 ballons were left swaying in the wind tied down by fishing line at different heights and ranges. You had to clear all five with the best time.

And finally, we did the police qual. This is probably the last time we will do this. The time it takes to get it done is just too long. All shot extremely well for never shooting this before and everybody made the qualification score as per NJ Police regs.

All in all, everybody had a good time with great weather. New friendships were made and old ones reunited.

Thanks to all that showed up and helped to support the NJCSD and the Buckeye Gun Club. Without you, none of this could be possible.

For those of you that did not show up, you really missed a great time. I hope to see you at the next NJCSD shoot out!
