Combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications.
Licenses or Certifications:
Must posses a Texas non-commercial Pesticide Applicators License or be capable of obtaining one within six months of employment.
Must carry a Texas State Hunting License.
Current Texas Class C Drivers License.

Preferred Qualifications
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
1.Patrol vast area premises of land and report unauthorized activities. Issue unauthorized activity letters to warn of consequences of such activities.
2.Acts as a liaison with other law enforcement agencies, such as Austin Police Department, Travis County Sheriff, and game wardens.
3.Provide customer services to citizens by answering questions and addressing complaints.
4.Recommend procedures and policies to deter trespassers and littering.
5.Safeguard and inspect property for damage, vandalism, trespassing, tampering with survey equipment, and illegal dumping.
6.Implement actions to manage populations of native and exotic wildlife on the wild lands.
9.Assist with implementation of vegetation management practices.
10.Observe and document maintenance needs for facilities including fences, roads, buildings, water wells, and other facilities.
11.Operate various tools and equipment needed to accomplish land maintenance activities.
12.Prepare routine and specialized reports.
