I have had one bad experience with Konus, but a lot of people have only good to say. I picked up a red/green dot combo for my Saiga .223, and the first time I shot it, the entire battery/switch assembly decided to jump out of the scope. I was able to put it all back together fine, and it's worked alright ever since. The only downside of this scope(and I'll completely take the blame for not paying attention to the box) is the weaver style base is referred to as a "special" mount. It doesn't lock in to a weaver rail and doesn't stay put for a full day's shooting.
On the plus side, all Konus scopes have a lifetime warranty.
