Hello. GIFFMANN reports that he's getting into the grip-making business and sent me a pair of thin micarta grips to look over. I stuck them on an unaltered Series 80's Colt of stainless steel and was pleased to note that the short grip screw bushings were not required for these. They are thinner than most "normal" thickness grips, but not as thin as the ones requiring the short bushings.

I like the fact that the left-side panel covers the plunger tube.

"Feel" is highly subjective, but I find the grips comfortable in firing and these went on the gun tight. They do not move. The screws will hold them to the gun and not have to be cinched down to keep them from wiggling.

The grip's texture can be seen as can its black and dark green color.

I believe the dark grips look good on the stainless pistol.

Overall, I was very well satisfied with the grips. It's my understanding that in days to come, GIFFMANN will offer grips with checkering or other surfaces besides just smooth.

Here the grip's lip can be seen over the plunger tube, a touch I personally like.

Best.

A minor quibble...

Imho the LEFT grip covers the plunger tube, Mr. Camp. I like the looks of those! Have black micarta on my DELTA.
