New Marlin! w/pics!

Finally, the day has come! A new Marlin 1894C in .357 Magnum is now mine!
I've been drooling over this rifle for years, and I've been looking out for a nice used one for over a year. Well, didnt fint any nice deals, so I got up the nerve (and cash) to just buy a spanking new one!

Lemme tell'ya, this thing is sweeeeeet!
At first operating that lever was really weird, but after 5 minutes of training I started getting into it, and now it feels much more natural, and its surprising how fast you can work it! And its so light and handy! Compared to the 12g this feels and handles like nothing.

I contemplated buying either a Ruger 10/22 og the 1894C,
but the choise fell on the Marlin. Already have a CZ 452 Lux that fills the role as .22 plinker beautifully. Wanted something with a bit more "oomph".
Havent gotten around to fire it yet, I hope to get it done by the weekend.

I don't think you'll get many complaints about those pictures.

Good choice on the 1894C, it's a great little rifle with a lot of uses. Even better with a set of ghost ring sights IMO (I use XS sights on mine). The one I have tends to shoot 158 gr ammo the best.
 
Judging by the smirk on the girlfriend's face, you may be buying a second 1894C before much longer.

I bought one, and my wife like shooting it so much I bought another one so she could have her own.
 
Hard to tell which is more pretty in the third pic. ;) My hats off to you, for your good taste in both weaponry and women!

Nice score, now you have me thinking about getting one. Rifle, cannot afford another woman in my house. Besides, I don't think the wife would appreciate it.
 
I have a 1894S back in the states...damned accurate little rifle to 100 yards.

If that young lady's personality match her looks, marry her with a quickness!
 
True, the third pic is a hot one, only thing better that comes up to my mind:
we were on training event this weekend, 30+ hours of constant battle (I shot at least 500 7.62x51 rounds, threw at least 20 grenades, "killed" at least a hundred opponents, got all hairy jobs of my unit), 2hr sleep alltogether (from friday noon to sunday noon), I had a 22yo girl as my partner (in fighting pair), she had a Galil that made my ears ring all night, anyway after back in HQ I was in the shower, she threw off all her clothes and for once there was a camouflaged woman warrior with Galil SAR, dangit this was hot, she was pretty, fit, good looking etc.
But said, wife wouldn't appreciate any jumping around, so we ended up as a whole unit making a shower together, chatting about the events, laughing all over the comedy we made and got, as we were tired as hell and happy to get water at last.

I had a 1894S in .44 mag. Sold it to a buddy that just HAD to have it. I kick myself every time I think about it.

Keep an eye on your lady friend. She looks like she's taking a shine to your rifle, too.

Treat them both well, and they will be yours, forever.
 
Yeah, buddy. Get you a second Marlin and marry that girl.:D

You do know they make Quick Detach sling swivels, don't you?
 
Finally someone noticed my little improv!
Yeah well, didnt have any swivels left over, and didnt want to pillage some other gun for a pair, so I just used some leftover cord. I actually think it looks really nice. Kinda 'bushy'!


GF has already 'stolen' my CZ452 and named it "fluffy",
so now im on a constant alert.

Thats how I ended up with two Win 94's in the house :D .

Nice Marlin. Now take her shooting! In fact, take both on 'em shooting.

Cosmoline, you SUCK. I about split my mouth open chomping on the inside of my cheek to keep myself from waking up everyone in the freaking building.

That picture's just one of those things you glance at and can't help but just fall out laughing.

Sidenote: beauty of a rifle and beauty of a lady, Vet.

Yeah, when he's not playing along with the deGuello on his harmonica while you're cooped up in the jailhouse with him. Good to have along when you need somebody to throw the dynamite though.:D I saw Rio Bravo too.
