This is a little random for THR, but I was just watching tv and saw a commercial for the new miller lite bottle. The "vortex" bottle basically has a rifled barrel which makes the taste better I guess. Thought it was kinda funny.

finally! a way to achieve that illusive sub MOA pour and consistently close up my foam grouping lol

It's not the rifling but rather millers superior bottle shoulder angle that leads to much improved pour accuracy over bud or coors.

Of course this also doesn't take into account the ballistically superior European "metric" beers.

idk im partial to shiner blonde and blue moon....no matter how i get those they find a way of bypassing the glass and shooting right down to my stomach

Has anybody developed after market light and sight mounts? I really want to make sure I can accurately pour that beer, even at night. Especially at night. Sidesaddle for a bottle opener?

Does that make Sharps a reduced recoil option?

The "rifling" creates a vortex which allows the liquid to flow out more quickly,
in the same way that the vortex (whirlpool) in a bathtub
or toilet allows water to go down the drain more quickly,
or the fact that when pouring water out of a bottle,
if you swirl it, it flows out faster.

Not rocket science, just fluid dynamics.

If it makes gun owners think of a rifle barrel, that's secondary ...
oh, no wait, for the marketing office, it's primary.

not to shoot down your theory, as it is correct about liquids behavior in a vortex, but isnt the best pour a slow 90 second pour? one that goes in two stages developing a head and then adding the remaining volume of the bottle?

Great Scott, that's funny. Too bad Alaskan Amber and Tap Room 21 don't use that "tech".
Now we will get the "Tactical rifled glass beer holder" attachments for Pictainny rails...:D

Are people really having problems with the beer not coming out of the bottle fast enough? Seriously, when was the last time you drank a bottle of beer and exclaimed, "Geez I wish this beer would pour faster!"

All that money spent on marketing and gimmicky bottles and cans and the macros still can't turn out a beer that doesn't taste like distilled and homogenized boredom.

They can spiral the bottle all they want, but I'll stick to Compass IPA, Laughing Lab, and Arrogant Bastard.

In any event, this thread isn't really on topic for a rifle forum.
