Got home tonite, had some free time, so I took out the new, as yet unfired Win/Miroku 1892, that I've had less than 2 weeks and... cycled the lever. Tried to lower the hammer. Nada. Trigger won't release the hammer. Safety is, and has been, OFF
I'm guessing either the "sear" isn't in its proper position due to a spring failure, or... something let loose.
Tried calling Browning/Winchester and even though they said they were supposed to be open, they weren't. Maybe they have a pre Covid-19 message on their phone.
Any thoughts gents? I really don't want to go to an "authorized service center", as there's not a mark on the rifle. It is pristine. Also hoping Browning/Winchester will step up with some prepaid shipping.
