I can't watch Dawn of the Dead (78') without getting angry at the "cars won't blow up if gas line is pierced myth".

Did they use incendiary ammo?

Yeah, they seem to shoot guns for the same reason that they blow things up - because it's fun. While I doubt that either would call himself a "professional shooter", my sense is that the guy with the mustache - Jamie? - knows a fair amount about firearms.

It's been mentioned on the show a couple of times that Jaimie (the guy with the mustache) grew up on a farm, so he probably grew up hunting. I don't think he's really a "shooter" but I remember reading somewhere that they garand they always use belongs to him. You'll notice that when they do firearms myths the selection of firearms always seems to change, except for that garand.

I like Mythbusters except when they destroy old guns. They use the M1 Garand a lot, but they destroyed a barrel on one by plugging it and firing, and they destroyed a Thompson barrel by samurai sword IIRC. What a waste.

Speaking of budget, I always wondered how much $$$ that .30 cal cost to run through the Dillon. I imagine it's not ammo you can pick up at Wal*Mart.
