First off let me say that I don't care for striker fired handguns, only own one which is a Kahr P9 but to be honest until this weekend it has sat in the safe for a couple of years. Bought it for those really hot summer days for shorts and t-shirt attire, just could never get used to the no hammer, no safety concept ( 50 year 1911 user). I have shot quite a few of other peoples safe action guns but I personally would never buy a gun with a springy thingy in the trigger.
When the P365 was first announced I read about it and ignored it.
Then a couple weeks ago one of my shooting buddies asked the evil gun consultant at the range to see one. Guy pulls out all four models and lays them out on the counter. Thought the XL model was really nice but lo and behold one model had a manual thumb safety just like my beloved 1911.
Would have walked away but it was on sale for a good price, so the guy had us. We both bought one.
Took it to the range this week end along with my P9 for comparison and I must say I like it.
Shot 200 rounds out of it with zero problems although it's going to take some getting used to.
Accuracy is definitely not comparable to my CZ's or 1911's and it is quite snappy in the recoil department, these will be overcome with practice. Thing I like about it the most is with the slide locked back the safety can be applied and then a loaded magazine can be inserted and the slide released a real plus in the safety department in my opinion. Thing I dislike is you will never get 10 rounds in the magazine without the aid of a Uplula.
Just my take on it.;)

Bought one this summer and it's all I carry 24/7. Mine also has the thumb safety. I pocket carry and sometimes have to remember I have it on me it's so unobtrusive.

Glad you like your new 365. I like mine a lot.
I must have strong thumbs, I have not noticed the mags to being hard to load although the Uplula is faster.

Actually I can get the 10th round in the P365 mag by hand, but it's not easy. On the other hand, it's impossible for me to get the last round in my Shield 8 round mag without the Uplula, and almost as difficult to lock it in the handle.

I haven't been able to get 10 inn a G26 mag without a Uplula either; but I will take the 365 everyday

I dunno ... the accuracy of my XL is truly amazing. Yeah, recoil can be a bit on the snappy side with the hotter loads shooting the original, but the XL seems just a smidge tamer. These are fast becoming my favorite carry pistols. And here I am, a dinosaur hammer-fired big pistol kinda guy. I can tell you that the mags eventually get easier and easier to load, too.

Now just wait a minute fer cryin' out loud.... Ya'll already talked me into getting a 365 (thank you) but ya ain't getting me to buy the 365XL I've been drooling over. Nope, aint gonna do it. I put my foot down on this one.

 I got willpower, I do. And it's strong willpower too. I am not thinking about my Christmas bonus, I'm not. I swear.

The mag springs will loosen up and allow 10 to load easily after a few days. I had to load 8, wait 24 hours load #9, wait 24 hours then load #10. But after sitting fully loaded for a few days 10 go in now without much issue. I also bought a couple of 12 round magazines for mine.

The XL doesn't do anything for me. Staying with the standard gun gives me the versatility to carry a very small 10 round gun, but by just swapping the magazines can have 12 or 15 rounds. Mine has pretty much replaced both my G43 with 10 round mags in it and my G19 with 12 round mags.

I agree with jmr40. Going to a XL size I might as well just carry my CZ PCR or a commander 1911.:scrutiny:

I am old school and typically only care about and respect 1911x45acp pistols. I have wanted to get into some 9mm models for a while. I've never had a striker-fired until now. My brother raved about wanting a 365 a couple of months ago, and some how now we both have one. I got mine with the thumb safety, he is adding it to his. I have 2x 10rd, a 12rd. and a 15rd mag for it. It was accurate and really easy to control right out of the box. I like it a lot. I have no regrets at all. My mags are also loosening up a bit with some use. I agree with brutus51 and jmr40 above about size and carry. I will still maintain and give my commander attention as well.

I succumbed to all of the stuff on here and a couple of other places and went and looked at one.. Deciding factor was the manual safety on one in stock. I carried 1911 for years.
I added a Hogue grip sleeve and carry it with the 12 round mag and the two 10s as spares.
So far so good.

I can get all 10 or 12 rounds in my P365 by hand after a little break-in. It's still has my hardest magazines to load though. It is a little snappy for a 9mm. My Carry Loads (Federal Tactical Bonded 135 gr +P) feel about as stout as I would like. I don't think a .40 S&W in this platform would interest me.

My .45 Shield has pretty stiff magazine springs for a Single Stack but it's not in the same zip code as the P365.

I think the Sig P365XL or the Glock 48 is the perfect CCW sized firearm. Barrel length is easy to hide IWB, and the velocity, sight picture and more weight at the muzzle are good benefits to have in my mind. I was on a pre-order for an XL before they came out and then chickened out on a the new release and went with a Glock 48 and am happy with it. If the Shield Arms 15 round flush magazines that I've ordered are reliable after 1,000 rounds I think I'll have found my CCW for a long time, it will be hard to displace.

But I still eventually would like to get an XL when they've been on the market for a few years, as they do have a good feel to them.

The follower in SIG mags are tough to get that first round in; as are the S&W M&P 2.0s mags; the Uplula is a great accessory

For me the 365 will be a hot weather CCW.
Weather permitting my 1st. choice will always be a 1911.
.45ACP for home defense as it won't blow out my eardrums or blind me with muzzle flash.
For outside urban carry I have recently embraced the 38 Super as I find the extra velocity an advantage over the 9mm punybellum.
For carry in my beloved north woods I go with a .45 Colt revolver.
Handguns are tools with each one having a specific niche so .22's, .44Mag's,.357Mags also have a purpose.

Good choice, brutus51. I find mine to be reliable and of great utility. No safety for me. Potato, potato. My mags have loosened up over time and with use. Still keep the UPLULA in the range bag just in case.

I meant to mention.... I think some variations exist within mags. The last few on one of the original mags were so stiff the mag kept pushing out of a Caldwell.Loader. After getting it loaded those rounds stopped the slide when the pistol attempted to cycle (never happened again). I bought a new 12 round I could load it by hand from day one although it wasn't easy. I just bought a new 15 round and I can push the follower with my little finger to the first knuckle without undue effort. It seems softer than any previous magazine. I'm wondering if Sig may have softened the springs in response to customer complaints.
