New powder

Thanks for the heads up. I might be interested in trying some for the 243. It will be a hard sell since I use varget for my other rounds as well and it makes it cheaper to only buy one or two powders then several different types...

mc223,
That link takes you to the reloading data site but you didn't say what round the new powder is listed for. I looked on Hodgdon's powder site but didn't see anything about this new powder.

Hodgdon shows:
22-250
220 Swift
223 WSSM
243
243 WSSM
25-06
270
270 WSSM
7 x 57
280
7 WSSM
7 Mag
30-06
300 WSSM
300 Win Mag
300 Weatherby
375 Ruger

I think I'll be the guinea pig for the 30-06 crowd....looks like a decent powder....it seems to bridge the gap between 4320 and 4350...I want something that will give me near 4350 velocity with less charge weight to lower recoil a little with 165's. I tried some rl22 this week with 165 nosler partitions and got decent results. before my tripod ate it i had 2750 with 60.5 grains. recoild was stiff though

Thank you mc223. I'm a little surprised Hodgdon had load data up but the powder isn't on their WEB site with a short description like their other powders.

Hodgdon is coming out with a new Winchester powder also. Supreme 780 I think? I think I remember reading that Hybrid 100V and the Win Supreme powder are due to come out spring 2008?

I was about to ask this question, but remembered to do a search finally.
For .243Win, it lists 3200 fps with 100 grain bullets. Got my attention.
