First of all how is it aimed? Or is it simply intended as a close in "belly gun"?
Second is since it's basically an inline setup how can you avoid the priming powder filling the flash hole and resulting in a "fuse" like delay before the main charge fires? On a side lock the conventional wisdom calls for the priming powder to be tipped to the outside so when it goes of the sparks and flame front flash in through the flash hole. When the flash hole is filled with powder there's a noticeable delay while the powder burns inwards to the main charge.
Of the few boxlock-style flintlock pistols I have seen, they all had the flash hole at the bottom of the pan. Just a characteristic of the beast I guess. Never fired one nor seen one fired so I can't report on ignition lag time (or lack thereof).
