I walked out of town a mile this morning and firing commenced @ 6am. My new SAR9 9mm functioned perfectly in all manner, is more than combat accurate and I'm by no means a great marksman. All shooting was from 7 yards standing. Primer dents were adequately deep and well centered. Ejection was a consistent 7-8 feet at 3:00. Winchester 124 gr FMJ NATO, Winchester 115 gr FMJ flat point, Israeli IMI 124 gr Di cut JHP and 3 rounds of a buddy's 115 gr JHP home brew. The 3 arrows are one 3 shot group when I slowed things down. So far so good with the Sarsilmaz.

My SAR9 is my favorite tactical tupperware pistol. The only hiccup I had was it is from the first batch to enter the USA and it was specifically designed (at the time) to eat only 124 gr NATO ammo. I didn't read the owner's manual which stated as much and tried 115 gr ammo, that didn't turn out well......... I believe Sarsilmaz has since installed lighter recoil springs on their new ones since then.

Sarsilmaz is a world renowned state of the art firearm manufacturer. They has been in business longer than Colt. Owned three Sar handguns and they are all flawless. My son snached my SAR ST10 (LOL) after firing it at the range.

I handled the 9 at the LGS and didn't really like the way it felt. He also had a full sized B6 that i handled. It felt pretty good and I took it home. Adding a set of traction grip made it even better. It is as accurate a most 9mm's I have shot and shoots everything from my mild handloads to good factory ammo. Sarsilmaz builds some great guns.

Enjoy your new gun.

The SAR9s come with different side and rear panels from thin to thick. It comes with the medium thick back strap on and the medium side panels (I think). I switched out all of mine to the thin options and it fits me like a glove.

FWIW, The 115 gr Win flat point is advertised as 1190 FPS and the friend's home cooked runs 1175 per Hodgdon ( HS-6 ).

Okay....... Is there an English translation to that?

Just kidding......, somewhat.......

I'm not into loading nor do I really pay much attention to ballistics. I'm a "short range" paper puncher so it really doesn't matter to me. Thanks anyway.

I've had my Sar b6 for around 6 months now. More accurate than I am and not a single fail of any kind. Didn't take it long to become my favorite handgun. Sar makes some dang good handguns and at dang good prices.
I've also been trying out Sar US A ammo. So far good as any and also at good prices.

I wish John, the LGS owner, would have told me about the grips but he didn't. I knew nothing about SAR guns. Never even heard of them until I saw the two in his showcase and decided to take a chance on one which I am glad I did.

I had never heard of them until just before I bought the SAR9. I was extremely impressed by the research I did prior to buying it. It has been described as a child of a Glock & a VP9, it has the VP9 grip with an enhanced Glock upper.

Looks pretty good. I try to stick to American made stuff but Ive been wanting to try one of these because I like the feel of the VP9 ergos. Holding off until SAR USA decides to start offering parts. I am not aware of anyone offering things like strikers, extractors etc. for sale on these yet. I would think these are pretty durable if they were designed for NATO ammo and they had to lighten up the recoil spring. Im guessing these dont have the nice HK VP9 triggers but thats not really a deal killer. Spare parts kinda are for me though.

Looks wise I like the lines. A Thousand times better looking than anything Ruger or many other manufacturers are putting out these days. Kinda reminds me of the Mossberg 9mms.

None of my SAR guns has had any issues at all. I would like to get a replacement bolt for my SAR sr38 revolver to improve the lockup, but it shoots fine the way it came.
