new scope for 7 mag

I'm going to put a new scope on my 7 mag (rem 700)and I think the rings on it now are mediums,will a 44 mm objective lens fit in these height rings?the scope will be (if it fits)a weaver 40/44 3-10X44 and,will the ballistic x reticle match up with the 7 mags ballistics?thanks.
