I recieved a Storm Lake 6" hunting barrel for my G20 today in the mail. I've been using a stainless Storm Lake 4.6" barrel since I purchased the G20 and have been happy with it's performance. Did have some issues with plated bullets but that might of been of my own doing. The barrel shoots 180gr Meister hard cast over Blue Dot very accurately and I'm excited to see what the 6" will do.
Plan on running the 180gr lead thru it as well as some 180gr XTP's over 800X. Will post the numbers when I get a chance to get out to the range.
Best part about the barrel, it was free from Storm Lake. Since I've been giving them feedback about the 4.6" barrel that I've purchased from them, they decided to give me the 6" free. The 6" barrel is new production and hasn't hit the market yet. I'll be sure to provide feedback here as well as to Adam at Storm Lake as I shoot it.
Storm Lake has been a great company to work with. If anyone is looking for a quality barrel for a great price ($98 at www.topglock.com) then don't hesitate to give their barrels a try.
