Anyone interested in beefy and tight safes my want to look at the Sturdy products. I am awaiting delivery of a Model 2419 with the 4 ga walls, 3/8" steel plate door and fire lining I got at a sale price, but since the order they have begun offering new beefed up options. Unfortunately, the prices for the options are out of my current budget.

That's good news!!! Quite a few of us have been hoping to see Sturdy Safe begin offering lines or upgrade options that allows them to offer standardized models with armor built to B-rate and C-rate construction specs (1/2" door, 1/4" body; 1" door, 1/2" body) They have a developed quite a solid reputation and seem well positioned to build this type of safe, which can be a solid intermediate between "higher end" RSC gun safes and actual high security safes. While it would increase the price considerably over a standard model, I think they could still manage to build B-rate and C-rate gun safes for a very economical price relative to what the buyer gets, and these safes would be able to resist non-powered attacks indefinitely. As of right now, there are not a whole lot of intermediate options for buyers with collections requiring more security than a RSC, but less security than a high-security safe, and I think Sturdy could probably take that market by storm provided they are building B-rate and C-rate units priced lower than Graffunder's Bishop and Castle.

(I don't think we can really call the B-rate Graffunder an intermediate safe can we? It is inherently overbuilt way beyond what constitutes a B-rate safe, using the same steel, composite density, and many of the construction techniques normally found only on UL-rated high-security safes. Hell, the C-rate Graffunders outweigh many TL-15 high security safes...)
