Because the previous thread on Speer's new snub .38 round with the 135-grain Gold Dot bullet became cluttered with one member trying to ask for a valid data source that others did not care to provide, cluttering (and ultimately closing) that thread, I'll start over.
If anyone is curious about this load, see the June, 2004 (yes, it's already on newsstands), "Combat Handguns". Good review that looks to be fairly and validly written.
Also, good stories on Herrett's stocks and Charles Daly's "Browning" 9mm, S&W M64 snubs, and a few other nice articles. Good issue. The Gold Dot ammo review is the first that I've seen on this new snubbie round.
