Does anyone use the new Speer Gold Dot 135 grain .38 +P ammo in their J-frames?

I have read that these rounds have been designed to work best in .38 snubbies.

If so, what do you think of it as a defensive carry load?

 :scrutiny:

Very nice. In both bare gelatin and through 4 layer denim it consistantly expands to around .55 and penitrates 12 inches.

In my opinion, its the best .38 snubby load available. Its the load I plan on using when I purchase a Taurus 85.

Here are a few good links on the load.

Also, Snowdog, a fellow member of THR, did some testing of his own.

Shoots to POA in my 36, 37, Charter, and several other guns. All reports have been very good. My guns in 38 are all loaded with it.
