Just arrived in San Diego. Thanks to the Navy. I have orders here for 15 months. Which means I will miss my hunting time back in IA. I was hoping someone could give me some info on the hunting In CA. I am a huge duck and goose hunter. Followed closely by deer and preditor hunting any info on these subjects would be helpful.

Eh, it's not that bad.

Well, there's just:
The outrageous housing market. (Crack houses were going for $350K a month ago)

Worst traffic in the country (LA, not San Diego)

Crime is bad...First news is often times shootings and car chases. Out here in AL, it's about stolen backpacks. I lived in a good part of Los Angeles, if there is such a thing, and breakins were common on my block.

Liberals...

No Sport Utility Rifles

10 day waiting periods

Most all tranfers must go through a FFL

Other than that, it's not that bad.
