New-To-Me BuckMark Problem...

I recently purchased a Browning Buck Mark pistol. After giving it a thorough cleaning and replacing the buffer, i discovered that 3 out of the 4 magazines i purchased do not "lock" into the magazine well. Even after attempting to seat the mag with a firm slap, the magazine would pop out. I repeated this with the slide open to the same result. Comparison between the magazine that locks in and those that don't, did not reveal any noticeable differences. I can bring the gun down to the local 'smith tomorrow morning, but was wondering if any of you gun gurus out there may be able to enlighten me as to what the problem is?
 
I don't believe if they're not a Browning magazine, they'll work. I got 2 of them at a gun show, the seller swore up and down were Browning, they ain't and they have never worked! Browning's name should be on the outside of the mag, check!
