Just picked up a new to me Speed Six in in 9mm and love it.

I have had my eyes open for a Speed-Service-Security Six for a while, but lucked into this. In 9mm to boot! It's the 2 3/4", SS version with the Pach Grips. No box, no papers, but Moon clips included. Enough to have 48 rounds at the ready. So I won't be attacking any beaches any time soon.

Have stuff on order. Boy, dealing with those Moon clips is a PITA without a tool. I improvised with a spent .223 casing, but still! I am no waif, but you need a de-mooning tool.

Anyway, my only problem is I was getting light primer strikes with the WWB and Fiocchi. Nice fellow at the range allowed me to try them in his PX4 Compact and they went off no problem. I suspect because the trigger was so damn smooth, someone "Fixed" the Hammer spring in the past.

I have a Wolf kit coming. Well, the other issue is a little etching on the breach face from not cleaning, in the shape of a crescent from the shell casing impact/deposits.

Think I might keep Ranger 147's in her, even the wife could handle those, they are a puddy tat in this frame. ;)

Yes, I am now realizing how hard to find they are.

And thanks for reminding me about that home remedy for the de-mooner.

I seem to remember reading about that a while back, but never had a cause for it until now. I just ordered the fancy tool from TK though.....

Nice, I wish Ruger would reintroduce the 9mm to their current lineup.

It's a wonder why Ruger and Smith both don't have at least one current production .9mm revolver in their line up. If one does it the other will follow. My money would be on Ruger to do it first.

Very nice. The demooner (moon clip stripper) is a must. The plastic moon clips are easier to load, but I've found them so-so quality wise.

Thanks fellas.

As I said, lucked into it. I am sure that thing would have been snapped up in another 5 minutes had I not acted. This thing just feels "right".

Hope the new spring doesn't mess with the DA trigger pull too bad. It really is superb. The SA trigger is sweet, no creep what so ever. I really am impressed with this Six. This could be dangerous........

Stoked for you, I would have swiped it up too! Same feeling as the day I walked into Cabela's gun library & saw "my" M70 Featherweight Swedish sitting on the rack...
