I'm looking to buy an additional vibratory tumbler. Currently I'm using a Midway 1292 that I've had for many years. Recently, I repaired the wiring on the 1292. It's working fine, but I'm thinking I'd like to have a backup machine. Also, as long as the 1292 works, I can use one unit for walnut and the other for corn cob.

I'm looking at the Cabela's Model 400 and the Cabela's QD detachable-bowl tumbler. I've read good reviews on the Model 400, allegedly manufactured by Berry's Manufacturing. I don't really need the sifter, polish, and corn cob that comes in the Model 400 kit, but that's the only way they sell it.

Is there anything to recommend one of these units over the other?

Brownells has Berry's 400 for $53, free shipping 'till midnight. Jump on it.

Berry's makes Cabelas last I knew.

ive run my harbor freight one 2 times a week for the last 2-3yrs and no issues and its in the $50 price range. look into lyman also I seen they have a rebate on all lyman stuff this month.
