I bought a Lyman Turbo 1200 several years ago.
It's still goin strong.

The only thing I don't like is there's no on/off switch.
So I bought a switch & made a 1 ft extension cord.
If this tumbler dies I still have the on/off extension cord for the next tumbler.

I purchased the same tumbler when I started reloading. The cheap price was a major selling point for a first tumbler. I was also worried that the very high temps in the summer might kill a tumbler off pretty quick. No problems. Still going strong.

I don't really mind the no on off switch. I have mine plugged into a cheap mechanical timer

My 10 year old Midway 1292 croaked, never really cared for it though.
The 1292's are/were a fire hazard and Midway recalled them. Call them and get a new FA for free by sending them your 1292.
Or...
Buy a Thumler's UltraVibe 18 and be done with it.

I believe it and am happy for you. My original Lyman 1200 did about the same. But, I certainly don't believe either are the norm, a young friend of mine bought a Lyman based on my experience and it lasted about 6 months. He gave it to me and got another brand, I fixed it in about 20 minutes - the motor shaft/bearing bracket screws had no lock washers and the assembly worked loose enough for the rotor to bind against the stator laminates and stop. Fortunately, he shut it down before the windings melted so it was an easy repair for anyone who can work a screw driver and a couple of small end wrenches. (Offered it back to the dude but he declined to take it so it's still mine.)
