So I lost my job back in March. The wife and I made a deal that if I got another job quickly I could make a new acquisition. Well, as luck would have it I found a new job within a couple months so I spent some severence money on a new Kahr MK9, galco OWB, and Beltman. See attached pics. I think this is an older gun but not a trace of rust and it came with night sights and the wood grips, which I love. 500 rounds w/no problem at all. I love this gun. :D

that is one sweet looking gun. I will work as good asmy PM9 with over 21,000 rounds through it. IMO one of the best ccw gun makers on the market.

Paid $650 from a gent through gunbroker. The deal included 4 mags, all of which function great. The extended mags (pinky extension) are great for long range sessions....short mags are best for concealment. As I've gotten used to the trigger, the accuracy of this gun is amazing for a "snubby".....way better than the FEG PJK that used to be my main gun. IWB from HBE is shipping in a week or so.

$650 used??? You got ripped. Got mine new out the door for $525 at a Florida gun show.

I would.

not say he got ripped, nite sites, wood grips, 4 magazines and beltman rig, I would say he got a darn good deal. age should have nothing to do with a quality handgun.

did urs new for 4525 come with nite sites, 4 magazines and wood grips. If so u got one heh of a deal..

Yes, night sights (not sites, btw, jocko). And 3 magazines. One magazine and wood grips is not worth an extra $125 to me.

Maybe just my bad luck, but they were extremely hard to find new or used when I bought mine (about 2 months ago). None of the shops I went to had them in stock and they were quoting 4 month waits for a new one. MK9s were extremely scarce on gunsamerica and gunbroker too. PM9s everywhere, but no MK9s. Anyways I wanted it now and had ample funds budgeted. Same gun a year or two ago could have been had much cheaper due to the more gun-friendly administration.

u both got great deals, so why bash one because he paid more than u did????

The seller must have needed the money or had old inventory he wanted to move, wholesale is more than that.

I remember MK9's for sale were quite scarce a few months back.

I'm not saying that this is the case, but it seems like members of gun message boards always seem to get magic deals that they like to tell everyone about, but may or may not be real. BTW, Kahr guns come with 2 magazines, not three. So scotthsi, you bought a NIB Kahr, sold right at or below dealer cost, and he gave you a third magazine free, out of the goodness of his heart. I smell horsepucky.

HiPower70, it's a 100% stainless gun...replace the recoil spring and you've basically got a new gun. Good deal in my opinion. I'd like to shoot an MK9 next to my PM9 and see if I made the right choice, but I've never met anyone who has one.

Good shooting.

Fantastic looking pistol. I may have to look into those wood grips!

I know what you mean when you say it is accurate. This is better than I would shoot with a Smith & Wesson J frame revolver:

I also have the MK9 for my EDC. I need to get the night sights... I can't stand the Post sight in the back. I have a VMII and a TT gunleather coming for it soon. Can't wait.

Congrats

4wedge: look into the xs big dot sites. they are super. not meant for target shooting but certainly for such a small close up gun like the MK9 they are the fastest acquisisiton sites I have ever used.

That shot group by colt 1903 is fantastic. I have over 21,000 rounds through my PM9 and Ic an't shoot mine that good, not the guns fault that is for sure. Some say kahrs are not that accurate. his target kinda puts that to bed I would think. They are certanly a harder gun to learn to shoot accurately but once mastered, they will do it.

Mine has Trijicon night sights and I like them a lot. This gun also came with the stainless recoil spring rod which I think makes it look a little nicer than the original black one.

For range shooting, the pinky extension make the MK9 as comfortable as a full size auto IMO.

Nice shooting Colt.

Nope on either accounts. This was Shoot Straight which is a major player in the central Florida area and has two large stores. And, MK9s were very scarce. In fact, it was the very first one I saw after I decided I wanted one, which was over a year prior to finding it. And I looked all the time.

scotthsi, you still haven't explained how or why the dealer decided to give you an extra FREE magazine with your new gun. MK9s come with two magazines, the OP got his with four, and you said you got yours with one less then the OP.

So can you tell me how you got your dealer to give you that free mag, because I'd really like to know for my next gun purchase.
