New Walther P99 Scratched, How To Fix?

My buddy just bought a new P99 on Saturday and he let his 21 year old son look at it (un-loaded of course).The son handed it back to his Dad with a scratch on the side and top of the slide. I think the son scratched it on his belt buckle putting the gun in his pants without a IWB holster.

Any suggestions on fixing the scratch would be greatly appreciated.

Tell Him to leave it be. It will always remind him as his son and to be safe shootin. As the walther may be passed down to the son in years to come and he will rember his dad with that pistol with the scratch!

If it's in the bead blasted frosted part, it may just be superficial.

Try wiping it off with CLP or gun oil and see what happens.
