It was time for an upgrade. My last “war belt” setup was very basic and antiquated and contained no medical gear - think pistol belt, holster and only pistol mags. Here’s the new one:
The belt is an ATS. The inner belt is a stiff cordura of some brand from years back (Paraclete or Tactical Tailor or Eagle...IDK). ATS makes excellent gear for a very good price, but the inner belt they sell is serviceable, but not stiff, so I reused an older belt I had.
It’s a very simple first-line gear setup. Make holes and fix holes.
Working clockwise from the holster: Safariland something (that will be upgraded to better ALS, light-bearing model) holding a Glock. Rip away med pouch accessible by either hand - Contains a couple bandages, shears, and clotting agent. Benchmade Nimravus I’ve had forever and never used (it matches color. That’s important!) A basic molle M4 mag pouch for my carbine reload. A basic double pistol mag pouch for reloads. And a tourniquet.
My only wish at this point is a somewhat smaller blade that’s reachable by either hand in the front, but this will do for now.
