Meet Thor, my new woods bumming revolver. A s&W model 19-7 I just picked up. It replaces my old model 10-5 2 inch. Just ordered a couple of boxes of Buffalo Bore 158 grain lswchp +p's to try out in it. Fits my chest rig designed for a 3 inch python quite well. IMG_20231007_103945_HDR~2.jpg

Very nice Model 19 you've got there! Let us know how it does with the Buffalo Bore ammo!

Nice find. The old 19s (and 66s) with the 2.5" barrels are getting so difficult to find these days (probably due to them being the the most sought-after favorite snubbies of all of us old guys).
To true. Took me 4 or 5 years to find this one at a price I was willing to pay. Everything around my area was selling at a grand or more. Got this one for 740 out the door.

Geez, up here I've seen some incredibly clapped-out beater Model 19 snubbies with asking prices north of $900, with the minty ones going for $1200 or more (and don't even ask about the P&R models).

Definitely a great score!

There's a nickled M19, great shape, for less than a grand, at a local shop. Had a look at it, but I've a 2.5" 66.
For the OP, nice catch, at a not crazy price.
