While RMR makes some good stuff I would say the bullets had little to do with anything as this kind of shooting is more about speed of target acquisition and trigger pull. Think the guy that broke the record is doing himself a disservice giving RMR all the credit for his speed, if anything the credit should go to him and the pistol he shoots.

I have shot on the same squad with Steve Foster in tier III SCSA and in my opinion, it's not the bullets. However I do appreciate value priced bullets that work and the fact that RMR supports competitive shooting sports and practiscore.

I had to give RMR kudos for being part of the world records (You know, world record is a big deal).

RMR's founding and business launch essentially was homegrown on THR - a true "mom and pop" American success story where their business model remains true to customer satisfaction and low prices with quality products, especially the in-house manufactured jacketed bullets that I believe rival and excel many other match grade bullets.

there's something to be said for having a high quality product at a price where you can afford to practice enough to get that fast.;)
Absolutely.

When some of us beginning match shooters complained we were shooting lousy because we didn't shoot with $3000 race guns with trigger jobs and better "match ammo", some regional USPSA shooters took our factory stock pistols and our reloads and blazed through the stages with utter accuracy. They emphasized "trigger time" and deliberate practice being key to shooting fast and accurate.

While I shot matches with jacketed bullets, I practiced with plated bullets due to lower cost as I could shoot more at the same component price point (More trigger time). When I switched match caliber to 40S&W, I got 40-9 conversion barrels and shot even more (Even more trigger time).

It's hard to substitute "trigger time".
