New York state added several counties to the rifled-allowed list. Cattaraugus, Allegany, Chenango, Herkimer, Montgomery, Oneida, Oswego, Otsego, Schoharie and Tioga counties. Also, rural areas of Broome county east of the Susquehanna river.

Just thought some may want to know as there are many that come to my neck of the woods from a couple hundred miles just to hunt.

I saw that last week. I was stoked when I heard Pataki signed this bill into law. Then I was very disappointed when I looked at it and didn't see my county mentiond. *** Steuben County :cuss: ? It doesn't get more rural then this, why couldn't they have gone with the bill. Apparently my county legislature decided they didn't want to be part of it and left us with shotguns.

Sigh... My Remington hasn't failed me yet, but I was really looking forward to using my M39...
