I saw this on the Beretta forum. Aparantly on Glen Beck this week there was talk of a few New York (city?) Legislators who intend to attempt to ban ANY reference to the 2A.

So let me get this right. The people of NY spend their tax $$$ so their elected officals can plot how to demolish the 1st and 2nd Ammendments. What's next on their ban list?

Can you imagine making it a crime to even speak of RTBR?

Anyone see this? Who are these clowns specifically?

I know it's only NY (world HQ for the UN and all) but actual elected Amercians advocating this. Scary stuff.

Some documentation might help here as in who said it and in what setting. Even for NY I find it hard to believe they would be that stupid...........but then again. :scrutiny:

I honestly think if this happened the Statue of Liberty will come to life like in Ghostbusters and personally snap off that craptastic island and throw it into the middle of the Atlantic and leave the real (upstate) N.Y. to prosper.

Hopefully she'll then head south and do the same with Philly and Miami. After those three Chicago will get the point and straighten up.

They managed to cover it up, with the help of the media, but at one point the Maryland Atty. General ordered State Police to confiscate all gun magazines on display in the state. He claimed they were advertising guns that were illegal in MD and that such ads were themselves in violation of the law.

It is not necessary to point out that on any other subject or any other item, the liberal press would have exploded with indignation and cries of "free press." But since guns were involved, the press said nothing. The silly order was revoked within a couple of weeks, but State Police did seize some magazines and terrorized small store operators with threats of beatings and arrest.

I think someone is misinformed.

There is a trial going on right now in NYC where Bloomberg has peitioned the judge to not allow the defendant to use or mention the 2A in his defense. I have not heard the judge's decision on the matter.

I haven't really been following this very closely. It has been mentioned here and other places though so you should be able to find info on it pretty easily.

It's not some attempt to cut off the Freedom of Speech on a wholesale level though.
