Outstanding. Nothing like an overreaching draconian law like that one to make people realize the true nature of government, and to disabuse them of all that crap about how the laws are there to protect you and your freedom. Defiance is in our heritage. It's time we brought it back.

Awesome! Watching the video now ...

Wow, loved the part (about 2/3 of video) when the Sheriff said he won't allow his officers to be limited to 7 round magazines and expressed his concern that today it's 7 round magazine semi-auto rifle but it could be bolt action rifle in the future!

Many good points raised by the people ...

We are trying! The politicians did not realize that every gun owner in NY is going to be really upset. Not just people with modern sporting rifles. But everyone. Cuomo's approval went from 74% to %59 . Huge drop. Next elections should bring big changes here, I hope. We all keep letting them know how displeased we are and the legislation will do nothing for crime.I can not even count how many people at my work have a now illegal rifle that needs to be registered .

I would push for everyone in NY to join the NRA, GOA and SAF, and contribute big to them.
The NRA strikes fear in te hears of our venal politicians...and its time to make it a BIG dog in the fight as they try to marginalize it as a fringe group!
    :)

Of course they have already come out and said the law does not apply to law enforcement, even if the wording doesn't imply that.

I hope he won't allow his officers to enforce the law on civilians either....
