Hi - I'm a new reloader. A very good friend brought me a Old but great Rockchucker Press, a practically new 10-10 RCBS scale (made by Ohous), a Little Dandy Powder measure, 1000 primers and a pound of Bullseye.
He also included Dandy rotors 1-9. I have the Dandy 0 and 00 rotors on order, which throw 1.7 and 2.2 gr of Bullseye.

I bought RCBS dies, loading trays, and 1000 Hornady 90 Gr lead lubed SWC.
After instruction, Joe and I loaded 12 rounds using the scale and 2 gr of Bullseye to see weather the 30 years old primers and powder were OK.
They fired perfectly and could not be told from the Fioshi WC SWL .32 which I mixed in with the reloads.

Now I am ready to reload without my far away buddy, and I can find little loading data for Hornady 90 gr SWC and Bullseye. I know 2 gr are OK, but wonder will the 1.7 be too little or will the 0 rotor's 2.2 be too much. (Once fired Fioshi .32 SWL brass)

Oh the revolver is a SW Model 632 3" which is for SWL, H&R, or .327 Mag

Any help appreciated.

ALSO In some data pages I found they specify 90 gr Lead with xx Bullseye, does that mean Round nose, flat nose, SWC as I bought??

I have read ABC's of Reloading, little info on the .32.

Lyman #49 shows an 85 grain RN which is nearer a 90 after lubing & sizing.
Bullseye:
2.3 Start.
2.7 MAX.

Most data you find for the S&W Long will be for RNL bullets, as that is pretty much the standard bullet for them.

I have used the Hornady 90 Gr SWC in .32 caliber and I always used the 90 Gr RN data that everyone shows.

very good friend
You can say that again. You are lucky to have such a good friend that not only helped teach you about reloading but set you up to go out on your own as well.

Thank you

Hi - Thanks you both answered my questions, feel a bit more confident now.

Yes, walk along. a heck of a good friend, he is a southern gentleman from Al, a great skeet shooter; we served together in 1970.

I've used that same bullet as well.
I agree. If he gave you a thousand small pistol primers, that's a FRIEND.

One day, he will ask you for a favor. And you must not refuse this favor. But until then, consider it a present.
