Reloading my M70 32 ACP

Eric, can you match/list all the models, I recognized several, but a couple elude me.
Not that I will go looking for any other 32 ACP pistols... right?

No pics, but my 32 ACPs include a Beretta 81, Colt 1903, FEG AP, MAB Brevete, Walther PP, FN Browning 1922, and a Spanish Echasa Eibar MAB.

And, yes, it's all THRs fault for flaunting 32s to us unprotected patrons.

That's a nice collection of 32's you got there! I would love to add some of those to mine!

Clockwise starting at the top: Skorpion Vz 61 (It's a Dvornik, but it's rocking the Czech Point threaded upper), Beretta Tomcat Covert w/ Osprey 9 Suppressor, CZ 50 (or maybe CZ70, can't remember, I have a couple of each, don't remember which is in the pic, but they are nearly the same gun, and IIRC, the gun the Zastava M70 was cloned from, Ortgies (early 1920's German Production), CZ27 (German Occupation CZ with nazi markings, no import markings, and german manufacture markings), and in the center a Kel Tec P32.

Accurate, reliable, excellent trigger, easy feild strip. That's the VZ61!

I've chronographed S&b 73 gr averaging over 1100 fps from mine.

I sent you a link to an optics mount for it. They shoot even better with a brace or even just an AR-style buffer tube for a cheek weld.
Sounds very interesting.........

Very fun, especially with a red dot optic mounted on it.

Split times of .15s are easy if your finger moves fast enough. And yes, that is 6 shots a second and it does sound like a slow full-auto if the cadence is steady!

My favorite part of shooting the Vz 61 is the brass buzz! Love that sound!

When they eject, yea, I think I recall hearing that. Also the casings coming down on the tin roof about 2 feet behind me. Another time I heard a bunch landing on metal and was perplexed. Then realized I was right in front of my car and a bunch of casings dropped onto the hood! Oops!

They fly 10 ft+ high and either land on my head or just behind.

These are a bit quicker than .15 splits.

We were fooling around at the range after a match some number of years go and I was kind of surprised to find that most people seemed to shoot the fastest splits with an old toggle link pistol I have but the trigger is also unique. That said, if you can run .10-.11 with it, you could probably do it with other firearms too.

At :30 seconds in you can see him do .12’s with a double action revolver. That’s more impressive than teens with an AR!

The VZ61 trigger is probably between 3.5 and 4.5 lbs. Just a guess. Very short, good reset.

But my split times were measured with my blue shooting timer firing at a single target.

Unfortunately it draws the range officer who wants to be sure bullets aren't just being thrown willy-nilly. One guy reminded me that "you can't shoot machine guns here." When I told him it's a semi auto .32 and invited him to shoot it he declined and said "well, I've never heard a semi auto shoot that fast." In a tone that suggested he didn't believe me.

So to not draw as much attention I keep the fast shots to bursts of two or three.

I forgot what we were talking about. :)

How about lead bullets?

Work fine in everything else at these velocities.
