I've read as much as I can and still have not found an answer.

My very first 10 reloads were:

Lymans 49th

9mm
124 gr. Berry's HP
3.8 gr. Titegroup
1.075 OAL

As others have mentioned, the chamber in CZ's make you really shorten the OAL with the Berry's HP.

Like others, I did the chamber check and found out I had to shorten the OAL to 1.032 by making a dummy load.

I know that when you shorten the OAL, the pressures go up, but I can't find if shortening it this much would cause too much pressure and blow up my CZ P-01.

No, I have not shot them yet, :banghead:.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm not going to look up your charge data. There is no 'formula' for how much to decrease for some 40 thou deeper seating, but that bullet is used in that cartridge quite often so it's likely that cutting the book max charge by a half grain should make it quite safe.

You are already well under (0.6 grains under) a MAX load of Titegroup with a 125 or 130 grain jacketed bullet seated 1.090".
Shoot the dang things.

I agree. From my own experience I have loaded Berry's 125 grain FP's and had to seat down to 1.036 to get them to chamber in my CZ. I worked the load up to 4.2 grains of TG with no signs of problems. Actually it turned out to be a nice load. Work yours up and see how it goes.

Yes, it should be no biggy seating them slightly deeper.
The taper crimp has no real grip on them.

Thanks. It's going to suck keeping track of what rounds go to which 9mm.

I guess I can label the boxes CZ and S&W. At least until I use up these HP's.

There is no reason not to shoot them in the S&W as well. 9mm headspace is determined by the case mouth. Your distance to engage the barrel's lands will be .042" greater, but I doubt you will notice a change in accuracy.

+1
Load them all the same.

No point in trying to keep them separate, and then getting the long ones in the short chamber by accident.
