Newbie powder scale question

I am just getting into reloading and came across a deal on an RCBS Chargemaster 1500 combo for a great price. My question is do I need a beam scale to check the digital scale from time to time or once I verify it is calibrated am I good to go? I know the Chargemaster is overkill for a newbie but it was a good deal and I'm a sucker for a deal!

My Hornady powder drop is dang consistant. However, I still verify by balance beam every 20th round or so.

You don't need a balance beam. The loadmaster comes with calibration weights which you can use to verify your scale any time during use. Most guys have both simply because they started with the cheaper balance beam. Happy loading!
