As I type this I am the newest member. I am happy to be here. Thank you for this opportunity to post. I will do my best to stay on topic. I have very strong pro-gun opinions. BUT, I remain pro-choice even more. In this free country dissenting opinion should be viewed positively.

That said, I am ready to go. BTW, my favorite gun (today) is my S&W Model 657 Mountain Gun.

Tomorrow is another day and I am sure it will bring a new favorite around.

Here's to talkin' atcha! :)

Welcome! We'll soon find out how many THR members can fit around your dining table-start cooking!

We celebrate diversity here. Glocks, 1911s, Mountain Guns, poodleshooters, smoothbores, leverguns, we like 'em all.

I can handle that form of pro choice. It's the other diffinition of Pro-choice that I have a problem with but that's as far as I will take it on this forum.

If I jumped to conclusions, then I offer my most humble appoliges.

As far as poodleshooters go, dont go after the poodle, go after the idiot that shaved those stupid looking poof balls all over them.

My pro-choice definition

I read a Libertarian slogan that stated: "Pro-choice on everything" and I liked it.
In other words:"Government-Get off my back. I can decide for myself on any given issue."
For the sake of this Forum, my choice is that I choose to own guns. I vehemently disagree with anyone who believes that I can't/shouldn't be "allowed" to touch firearms. I especially take issue against juristictions that ban my owning and/or carrying of fireams. Residents and governments in these locals are grossly misinformed IMHO. Bagdad, with its fully armed population, is SAFER than the streets of D.C. [!?!]

SO, I ain't trying to make waves on Post #1. Unless, that is, the reader believes that I need government restriction to save me from myself and others.

Thanks to all the responders to this post.

As I said before, if I am jumping to conclusions (and it seems that I was)
I offer my most humble apoliges. (spell)

I have never heard the term pro-choice to mean anything other than to abort a living baby that has no choice in the matter and I felt that this was no place to state it.

I am sorry indeed.

I believe in everthing that your last post stated whole heartedly as long as it does not harm anyone else.

Pro gun, YOU BETCHA.

Terrybob

P.S. does this thing have a speel check?

I thought you was jus' speakin' in dialect. ;)

I live in Upper Michigan and we sound like a bunch o' Canadians with Finish accents here. :D

Glad to know ya'.

Welcome to THR. Glad to see that you're passionate and opinionated. Hope that you have thick skin and aren't the touchy-feely "socially liberal" type.(Just kidding-we're very tolerant-trust me). And since you opened up that can of worms the Legal and Political page is the appropriate location for posts on those subjects. I'll be interested in your future posts on those subjects you deem "socially liberal". Does this mean that when it's your turn to provide the food that we'll be faced with quiche, brie, and wine instead of beer?

More politically motivated stuff will certainly be forthcoming in the Legal and Political Area. A final teaser here (yes, I know, I am already playing with the-thread-in-the-wrong-subdomain fire): I tried the Democrat clothing; I tried Republican clothing; neither fit.

So, its off to the Legal and Political Area with me.

Straightwall-it amazes me how many people know the difference between left and right-but can't seem to grasp right and wrong. I tried the same clothes you did-didn't fit me either. I prefer the term independant-and I don't mean moderate.
