I have a 6 1/2 Bhk, A 6 in 657 classic hunter, and recently got a no dash 6 in 57 in nickel. I want them all, but for my next, would you suggest a Redhawk or Ragin Bull in 41. I realize both are discontinued in 41, and a RH will run around 800 and a Bull around 600 if I can find either. I hit gun shows whenever I can, but I was wondering what your opinions are if I find both. What one should I get?

I am very happy with my Redhawk in .41 mag. I have no experience with the Taurus.

go all the way and get .44 Magnum.
Afterwards?

Between your two choices I would go for the Redhawk. Personally I would be looking for a S&W 657 performance center with the short barrel to really round out barrel lengths. Have fun searchin!

I like hunting with my 41s, so I was hoping for an 8 3/8 bull, but I'd take either the 5 1/2 or 7 1/2 RH.

Redhawk! I have a Bisley, a 4-5/8 Blackhawk and a Super 14 barrel in .41 and am looking for another in an Old Model and/or Redhawk, whichever comes first-

No Ragin Bull fans? I know 4 of my friends have/had Bulls and they all loved them. One even has a 6 in 41 bull, but won't part with it. I have a Redhawk in 44, exctremely accurate, and love all my Rugers, but just thought if I could find a Bull in 41, I'd take it.

I would definitely choose the Ruger Redhawk. I have a blue 5.5" that is turned but unfired that dates 1985. I prefer my M57's. If you were in TN, I'd sell it to you and I know you'd like it.

I wish I lived in TN also! I'd love to buy your RH! Just for giggles, how much would you ask for it ?

I would be comfortable with the price you mentioned above plus any fees. It has only been dry fired a couple times. Box and papers all original.

If you want to continue this conversation, PM me.

22 rimfire... Christmas, taxes, and the purchase of the 57 have me broke, but I'll definately keep it in mind...seriously. Also... I have yet to even see a model 58 and I'm not so interested in the new 58 classic.

Get a 7.5 in. Bisley in .41 It will become your favorite gun. Of the two guns you mentioned, definitely the Redhawk. No comparison. The Redhawk is built like a Freightliner. It can take more abuse than you can. Trust me.
