CA's numbers are fantastically low, not high. There are 36.5 MM people in CA. 4.5 MM people in AL.

If CA people owned machine guns in the same proportion as AL, there would be 97k MGs, not 20k

Considering the numbers for states like Illinois and New York, these numbers must include NFA owned by government agencies.

12K machines guns in the Illinois People's Republic? Police departments? 'cause they sure ain't legal for the rest of us, since nineteen eighty something.

I thought FOPA made it illegal to make list's like this?

That never applied to NFA.

This list also assumes the NFA database to be correct which we know it is FAR from.

As I understand it too this list is just for tax stamps, not the actual firearms. So there is a good bit of margin for error.

EVen if remotely correct, I dare the gun grabbers to check each of these for use in crime. I bet not a single one has ever been. Otherwise they would not be in the legal circulation. Further proof that the NFA is nothing more then a complete crock of crap, socialist(READ MODERN Democrat) tool for socialist Stalin style control. I'm sure if she gets into office Adolf Hillary would love to have this information presented here be illegal for the public to have knowledge of, as it goes against her socialist cause.

The only way that you can get a class three weapon in Illinois is to become a class three dealer. Very few Police agencies have full auto or select fire guns here. We are taught at the Academy that they are way to dangerous for LE work.

After trying a select fire AR at a tactical rifle class I would have to agree that they are too dangerous as a standard issue LE weapon.

I agree considering SBR and SBS are illegal for civilians to own in Alabama.

There has been only one conviction of a crime committed with a legal machine gun if I remember right.

It was a Mac-10 of some variant if I remember, possibly Uzi, and the shooter was a police officer, shot his wife or ex wife, something like that.

Been a long time.

why none for WA? We can have A.O.W. and suppressors
I beleive suppressors are legal to own in WA, but ilegal to actually use (yes, it's dumb, but most gun laws, especially the NFA one are), so that would certainly keep the numbers down. Who would buy a $500 suppressor, and pay the $200 tax to own a suppressor they have to leave the state to use? probly not many.

+1 Same with the Vermont and suppressors thing. For non LE, suppressors are illegal there.

In WA machineguns SBS/SBR registered after 1994 are contraband. Silencers can be owned but not used. The law says nothing about DD and AOW. I make my own silencers on ATF form 1's.
