NIB King Cobra deal, opinions please

The King Cobra is a great gun, but $900.00 is WAY too high anywhere.

You can buy them on the online sales and auction sites for less than that.

...this one is new from 1992 and unused.

Yeah. Right. New and unused just like half the guns on the auction sites—and it's going to rain nickels later this evening, too.

The other half, of course, are "like new in box," meaning they probably still work after years of neglect and hard use.

Maybe its just best for me to buy from the locals so I can see and handle the guns, I should have realized the ripoff might be the norm....
Thanks for the opinions :banghead:

King Cobra

I'm a little late to respond, but $900 is about enough to get you 2 minty used ones or a Mint in box Python.

I would have to say Factory Mint with all original box and papers should be $500-$550 for the King Cobra. That would be for either of the 3 types of finished guns.
The Blue is harder to find, but obviously if you are going to shoot it, the Brushed or High Polished stainless will hold the finish better.

A nice minty shooter should be found in the $400-$500 range depending on box & papers.

Good luck, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

Way way way way way too high.
Mint, it's probably 500, at most
a really nice one should be in the 450 range.
For 900 bucks you can get a really nice python.

Thank you all for your time and responses! I was so excited to find one with the original box and papers and accessories that was never fired that I almost jumped too fast.
