mine is as accurate as I am, I plan to use it in bowling pin matches this spring

mine also prefers hotter ammo, CCI minimags and Blazer seemed to be the winners, vut CCI SGB and velocitors were good also (just pricey)

Buy it Now price is $1 less than the OTD I paid for my .45ACP Tactical model.

A big beef with most of the cheaper ones is pot metal slides. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the RIA. Nice lookin' gun. ;)

A big plus for this gun is that it is built on a standard lower -- which means for the cost of a complete slide magazine and barrel, you can also have a .45 ACP.

yes, the mags are well made
they aren't particularly expensive to order straight from RIA

Kimber rimfire 1911 mags are compatible, but don't drop free and are more expensive

don't know about GSG magazines

How good is the barrel on these ? Is it mediocre or high quality barrel which is the heart of any gun in terms of accuracy ? Anyone tested how tight their groups ? How is the barrel lock up as this is just open top ? I m used to fixed bull barrel on my Ruger Mk 2 5.5 bull so accuracy for me is important.

I see Sarco Inc has them in stock for $450. They also advertised them on gunbroker. It looks nice and cool as it has the 1911 allure and in .22 LR caliber. But if the accuracy is par with the Ruger s, then it might be worth getting. If not, i rather get a Ruger 22/45 .
