So I bounded all day around eastern Laramie county (WY) thinking that I'd thin out some of the cotton tail/jack rabbit population today. Was out there from about 8 to 5.
Sun shining, slight breeze, and just being outside for the first time in a long while made it a good day overall. However, it seemed like every good spot that I'd find were just plain abandoned. Lots of burrows, not just cotton tail ones but all sorts like groundhog and badger, but no tracks or any even relatively recent signs of life (except for all stuff I couldn't catch!)
Only thing that I managed to catch was a cactus that I didn't notice on my leg which I swatted without thought (doh!).
Oh well, it could always be worse I guess.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else was having any better luck than I've been having as of late. Also, I was hoping that a Wyoming THR'er could give me a few pointers on where to go for a better haul next time.
