Companies Shill Posting on Glock Talk (08-26-2004 until 08-31-2004) Most companies that participate here, do so in a manner that reflects well on this site and their companies. Occassionally though, representatives of a company use posting tactics here that I find dishonest. The tactic that bothers me most is for a company to have employees or friends post without anyone knowing they are associated with that company, to plug themselves or slam their competition. I find this a really deceptive way to do business. It gives these companies an unfair advantage over other companies that participate here honestly and it does a disservice to GT readers.
This doesn't happen here very often, but I do not want it happening it at all. I want to give everyone fair notice that if I catch a company using tactics such as this here, I will make it public knowledge and representatives of that company will no longer be allowed to post here.
This site can be a valuable resource, for readers and companies alike, if it is used honestly and fairly. Thanks. Eric
