I was trying to find figures for gun deaths and injuries compared to other causes of death like drowning or motor vehicle accidents. I came across these three very valuable forms from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Center for Injury Prevention and Control:
http://webappa.cdc.gov/sasweb/ncipc/mortcnts10.html
http://webappa.cdc.gov/sasweb/ncipc/nfirates2000.html
http://webappa.cdc.gov/sasweb/ncipc/leadcaus10.html
The first is a form where you can choose cause of death, intentional or unintentional, and group based on age and all sorts of other stuff.
The second one is quite like the first but for non-fatal incidents.
The third one allows you to list leading cause of death for various age, ethnicity, sex, or regional groups.
All in all ... it's more ammo against the gun-grabbers!
