well i took these a while ago and i figured i would post these for you guys to see
i took them with my Nikon d 50 at night in the woods in Idaho and i was shooting into a hill that was only 15-20 feet ahead do i could be sure that something/someone wasn't in the line of fire after i turned my car lights off. i used i infrared remote and a 15 second or so exposure time so that i could make sure i would catch the muzzle flash

this is a 380 shot out of a cobra enterprises "saturday night special" it was a piece of crap i sold it. im actually embarrassed i even owned it in the first place

I'm not sure where the other pics went, those are all I could find.

what kind of ammo is that that has the greenish flame?
the reason i ask is that i took apart a really old bullet and i burned the powder and it gave off that greenish flame like whats in your picture

those are nice pics, i would have to try playing with the exposure times... 5 secs would give a better gas venting pic without the smoke...

Does it HAVE to be night?

Or just dark enough to see some HUGE muzzle blast!

I know, I know, I have posted these a bajillion times, but damn they are cool!

Lurp
Big Boomer, are you at Eagle Peak in those pics?

Yessir that's where I'm torchin' off the cannon! And what's funny is I knocked the hat off of the guy to my left, he was none too happy. (Well not completely off, but it did make it go cockeyed.) But in all fairness...I did warn him...

The guys shooting their uber mags down on the rifle range all came down to see *** was all the noise coming from the weeny pistol range
