I was browsing aroudn the web on some review sites and kept coming across nightforce so I did a little checking.. Now I want on:banghead: I hate when I do that..

Anyways, I looked for pricetags but they just have call for the price.. Anybody have an idea what they run? The only other couple brands I've really looked at so far are US Optics and the good old fashion leopold tacticals.

I'm not too overly concerned about pricetags considering the pricetag of the gun it's for just keeps jumping up and up... Might as well fit it with something worthwhile..

Contact this guy, Don. [email protected] he sells them. Once you get a NF you won't want anything less. U.S. Optics are great scopes but are twice the price of NF, a friend has one on his .50 ($2,500).

A great price on a NXS these days will be around $1250. I got mine early this year, before the latest price increases, for under $1200. Talk to Mike Cecil and CSGunWorks.com and tell him I sent you.

The 5.5-22x model is a good choice for shooting beyond 1000 yards. It's a common choice for serious 50BMG's because it's got 100 minutes of elevation. The 3.5-15x model is a good choice for shooting to 800-1000 yards.

Unless you really like mildots, I suggest the NPR2 reticle. The lines are finer than the mildot lines. The only disadvantage is that the windage marks are like 5MOA, which is much less useful than mildot windage hold-aways.

Most of the NXS line come in either a 50mm or a 56mm objective lens size. In most circumstances, the 50mm objective lens is a better choice beacuse it will allow the optic axis to be close to the bore.

In an AR15/AR10/SR25, this isn't an issue because you have to use super-high rings anyway to replicate the iron sight height.

got another question after checking around.

I've heard that the bases you have to use will make the scopes damn near impossible to get a zero @ 100yrd. I don't know how true it is but the reasoning is an angle built into hte bases for long range shooting.

I paid almost $1,300 for my 5.5-22 a couple of years ago. I've recently seen them a bit less at a couple places. I might get another one someday, but it is a lot of $.

eh.. it's only money, the leopold is like 11, where as the unertal is like 2G.

Zak, i'm going to give that guy a shot here in a couple mins.. Instead of saving money for months and months I got a CC that is 0% interest for a year:D One mor thing, I see the shade on that one, but I'm not seeing htat option anyplace, is it from somplace else?

i was just browsing aroudn their site.. Is there a way to get direct contact with mike as opposed ot the general question form? either way I'll give it a shot..

thanks for the info...

I'm looking at the 5.5-22 (X50 if I can get it)

Not sure about hte mounts yet though.. I guess I can worry about that later.

i've heard that's an option but i havne't been able to find it. I'm not around much during the day so I'm shooting off an email right now.
