I’m still trying to find the link to the online report, but an elk guide armed with a 10mm Sig P220 stopped a black bear attack with a double-tap of Sig V-Crown 180grn 10mm ammo. That personally wouldn’t be my first choice for a “bear load” (heavy 200grn/220grn coated HC would), but it worked for him. They were tracking back to the elk carcass when the bear surprised them and charged the guide and the hunter. Pics were later posted online:
