Gunslingers, plinkers and sharpshooters listen up.
The Sandoval County Commission is scheduled to vote to publish and post a new county ordinance that bans shooting firearms within certain urbanized parts of Sandoval County.
After the ordinance has been published the commission can vote on whether to adopt it at a later meeting.
"It affects the unincorporated area of Rio Rancho Estates," County Attorney David Mathews said. "The days are over when people could go on the west mesa and blast away. People are getting tired of getting shot at."
