How do revolver shooters typically handle the timed and rapid fire courses in a NMC style match? - i.e do they shoot these SA or DA?

Can't recall off the top-of-my-head what "NMC" stands for, but the "timed" & "rapid" fire references make me think you're referring to Bullseye shooting.
If that's the case, I can tell you that when I shot with my club's league I gave my thumb one heck of a workout by firing SA all the time. Thumb cocking, getting a sight picture and firing 5 accurate shots in 10 seconds was hectic. Still, doing all that (with open sights, mind you) I was even able to provide the guys shooting autos some competition. It can be done.

Right. NMC = National Match Course. This is the course of fire used for Distinquished Revolver matches.

Totally up to the individual shooter. I've seen people do both. You just have to see through trial and error which works best for you.
In addition to SA vs. DA, you've got to decide between straight through and staged in DA. Will you pull the trigger until the hammer is just about to fall, then stop your trigger squeeze until you're ready? Or will you pull straight through without pause? You'll have to try that for yourself too.

Well my revolver handling skills need some work, but I can execute a timed fire string in SA. My SA rapid fire is all over the place; I barely have time to bring the sights onto the target. But I may not be using a proper SA technique.
